Broadoaks Residential Home is proud to announce the installation of a large solar array as part of our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability. This new solar energy system will significantly reduce our carbon footprint and further establish our reputation as an ECO Home.
In addition to this exciting development, Broadoaks continues to embrace eco-friendly practices by utilizing natural-based laundry and cleaning products and implementing onsite recycling programs. Our goal is to create a healthier, greener environment for our residents and the community.
Sonya Crosby, Registered Manager of Broadoaks, remarked, “Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. By investing in renewable energy and eco-conscious practices, we’re committed to making a positive impact on the environment and inspiring others to follow suit.”
We are dedicated to leading by example and advancing sustainable living. This initiative reflects our pledge to protect the planet for future generations.

Broadoaks Residential Home is proud to announce it has been awarded the title of ‘Best Dressed Residential Christmas Window’ in the Rochford Parish Council’s annual campaign. This festive recognition highlights the home’s commitment to spreading holiday cheer and embracing the spirit of the season.
The campaign, which encourages local businesses and residences to showcase their creativity and festive flair through decorative Christmas displays, saw Broadoaks stand out with its charming and whimsical window decorations. Residents, staff, and families collaborated to design captivating scenes featuring sparkling lights, handcrafted ornaments, and heartwarming festive motifs that reflect the joy of Christmas.
“It was a wonderful opportunity for our residents to engage in a fun, creative project that brought everyone together,” said Sonya Crosby, Operations Manager of Broadoaks. “Winning this award not only highlights our residents’ talents but also allows us to connect with the local community and spread positivity during this special time of year.” The campaign encouraged participants to bring a sense of unity and joy to the community, and Broadoaks embraced this challenge wholeheartedly.
The award ceremony took place in early December, followed by our very own Sonya being cordially invited to turn on the Rochford Christmas lights. What an honour! As the holiday season continues, Broadoaks Residential Care Home invites everyone to visit and enjoy their beautifully decorated windows, a testament to the creativity and love of its residents and staff. This recognition inspires Broadoaks to keep fostering community spirit and creating beautiful memories for all.
